Welliebobs have been my best mukka this year up here in Cumbria! Slightly damp year indeed!
These have been slip-cast in porcelain, then finished-off with the usual techniques; screen print, resist, underglaze, bubble glaze, underglaze transfer, 24 karat gold lustre and decals. It's a feast for the eyes!
I have been making welliebobs since the third year of my degree and I can honestly say every pair make me smile. These are the 'medium' size that I make, they come out at about a child's size 9 after shrinkage! I often get asked ‘but what are they used for?’. Well my lovelies, my answer is always ‘an alternative vase or indoor plant holder’ as they are fully water-tight. However, just to have them sitting pretty does it for me!
Approx measurements- 19cms tall, 17cms long with a 9cm opening
